The Fake and Reproduction Lady Head Vases are being sold throughout the country at ridiculous prices. Ebay, flea markets, antique malls - don't waste your money. If you have 80.00 to 100.00 dollars to spend, save it and buy the real thing.

All of the head vases below are reproductions - also known as FAKES. Be careful what you buy on ebay and in the antique stores, especially if you are a new collector. I've seen these same heads selling at triple these prices and with no indication on the tags that they are reproductions.

09/20/2004 Cameo Girl Copies and new Glamour Girls

I have purchased an entire collection of the FAKES for myself and I keep them separated from my real Antique Lady Heads - on their own shelf. They make for great conversation and in about 100 years when my kids kids take over my collection, they really will be Vintage Lady Heads.

Note: 01/07/2002 The reproductions continue to circulate. My fire has been ignated tody to further promote the education and awareness on fake and reproduction head vases. Over the next months, I am going to add ALL OF THE FAKES to my inventory. I will continue to advertise them here for exactly what they are. I also hope you will continue to invite new collectors to this site so they can join the WWHVS and learn all about head vase collecting. We have a GREAT group of friends and collectors here and I believe we have enlightend MANY new head vase collectors this year!!

Note: 02/27/2002 I just acquired these 2 additional fake heads. The one in black has been around on the market since October of 1999 and the one with the white hat and her hands crossed was first noticed around January of this year 2002. They both come with a sticker on the bottom that says "Made in China" but you can be sure that any dealer trying to pass these off as vintage heads will remove that sticker. Don't depend on a "Made In China" sticker to identify a head that you suspect as being fake.

Note: 02/09/2002 This set of 6 heads is BRAND NEW and the most recent set to circulate Ebay and antique malls disguised as vintage heads. Make no mistake - they are NEW and made in China! I've seen them being called out as "rare" and "Made in Japan". One seller even went so far as to write "Japan" on the bottom. What complete nonsense.
